Statue of Peace
The Prime Minister of India unveiled the "Statue of Peace" The statue is being unveiled to mark the 151st anniversary of the birth of Jain Acharya Shree Vijay Vallabh Surishwer Ji Maharaj.

- The statue is made of the Ashtadhatu. Ashtadhatu is an octo-alloy. The alloy is primarily used in the casting of metallic idols in the Hindu and Jain temples.
- Alloys are made of metals such as gold, copper, silver, tin, zinc, iron, tin and antimony (or mercury).
- The statue measures 151 inches high. It is being constructed in the town of Rajasthan in Pali.
About Shri Vijay Vallabh Surishwer Ji Maharaj
- He was a Jain monk who was born on October 26, 1870. He was a disciple of Vijayanand of Suri.
- He was the founder of Shri Parshwanath Jain Vidyalaya in the Rajasthan district of Pali.
