United Nations Food Coalition 

The United Nations has formed a new coalition to avoid the food shortage of COVID-19. It was proposed by Italy, headed by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

• The alliance would mobilise capital, creativity and skills.

• It will promote and share information and experience between countries.

• The alliance will work on the basis of solution-oriented plans and services.

• It would expand international collaboration and cooperation in the longer term.
