Scientists have recently uncovered a huge coral reef in the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. It's the first to be discovered in 120 years.
Key Highlights:
The reef was discovered by Australian scientists at the Schmidt Ocean Institute.
The base of the blade-like reef is around 1.5 km wide.
The recently discovered reef adds to the world's seven other tall, disconnected reefs. It covers the island of Raine.
Note: ROV SuBastian is the underwater robot that the team is deploying in the recently discovered coral.
