Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Ekta Diwas celebrations in Kevadia, Gujarat, on the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which falls on October, 31.

Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day is held every year on the 31st of October, on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, also known as Iron Man of India.
The celebrations were attended by Central Reserve Armed Forces, Gujarat State Police Forces, Indo Tibetan Border Police Forces, Central Industrial Security Forces and National Security Guards.
