Recently, the Prime Minister of India witnessed the Bharat Shakti Exercise in Pokhran, Rajasthan.

• It is a mega tri-service military exercise.

• Location: Pokhran, Rajasthan.

• It synergised the demonstration of indigenous defence capabilities in the form of a tri-service live fire and manoeuvre exercise.

• It showcased the ‘shock and awe’ impact that the armed forces seek to achieve in an operational situation with manoeuvre and fighting capabilities.

• ‘Bharat Shakti’ displayed an array of indigenous weapon systems, by showcasing the prowess of India’s indigenous defence capabilities and the nation’s Aatmanirbharata initiative.

• It displayed the LCA Tejas, ALH Mk-IV, Mobile Anti-drone System, T90 Tanks, Dhanush, K9 Vajra, and Pinaka Rockets and Satellite System.
