Bharat Tap Initiative
- The Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep S. Puri recently launched the Bharat Tap initiative at the ‘Plumbex India’ exhibition.
- It will assist AMRUT 2.0, which is designed to realise the aspirations of the ‘New Urban India’ by making all our cities ‘Water Secure’.
- AMRUT 2.0 will provide 100% coverage of water supply to all Urban households through 2.68 crore tap connections., which will benefit more than 10.5 crore people.
The key objectives of Bharat Tap initiative are:
