ISRO’s VENUS MISSION


After Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan, ISRO is now planning to launch Shukrayaan-I, which will be the country’s first orbiter mission to Venus by December 2024. 

AIM- The mission's goal is to investigate Venus' toxic and corrosive atmosphere, which is covered with sulfuric acid clouds.

FACTS:

Venus has been called Earth’s twin because of the similarities in their masses, sizes, and densities and their similar relative locations in the solar system.

It spins from east to west, the opposite direction from all other planets in our solar system but the same as Uranus.

ISRO: It is the national space agency of India, headquarter in Bengaluru.

It works under Department of Science, which is directly overseen by the Prime Minister of India.
