Maitri Setu
The Prime Minister of India inaugurated the ‘Maitri Setu’ between India and Bangladesh via video conferencing.
The ‘Maitri Setu’ is a bridge that has been built in the River Feni, which flows between the state of Tripura and Bangladesh.
It is a 1.9 km long bridge that connects the Sabroom in India with Ramgarh in Bangladesh
The name ‘Maitri Setu’ has been chosen to symbolize the growing bilateral relations and friendly ties between both countries.
The construction of the bridge was done by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.
