• India has unveiled the 'Real-Time Vessel Tracking System' to support seafarers and fishermen when they need it.

• The machine to be known as "Sagar-Manthan: Mercantile Marine Domain Awareness Center (MMDAC)”.

• The system was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Maritime India Summit-2021.

• The Vessel Monitoring System has the capability to screen Indian vessels globally. It can also be used to detect foreign vessels within 1,000 kilometers of the Indian coast.
