Carbon Capture, Use and Storage” Technology
-
A United Nations report has called to scale up carbon capture, use and storage in light of the Paris Agreement on Climate change which aims for the net-zero emissions goal in order to limit global warming.
-
The scaling-up “carbon capture, use & storage” (CCUS) technology comprises components like capturing the CO2 emissions from the coal and gas power plants. It also aims to harness or reuse carbon dioxide from heavy industry for deep underground storage.
- Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) is a major technology for reducing carbon emissions. This technology can be extended to the entire energy market.
