World Report on Hearing

• The First World Hearing Report was published by the World Health Organization (WHO) on the eve of World Hearing Day on 3rd March. 

• The report underlines the need to quickly speed up attempts to eliminate and resolve hearing loss by investing and increasing access to hearing and hearing resources. 

• According to the survey, at least 700 million people will be affected by hearing loss and need attention to the ear and hearing.

• The study points out that a billion young people in the 12–35 age range are at risk of hearing loss due to noise pollution in leisure settings.
