Juvenile Justice Care and Protection of Children Act, 2015
The Union Cabinet has approved the amendments to the Juvenile Justice Care and Protection of Children Act, 2015.
The amendment proposes that the ADMs should monitor the functioning of the agencies implementing this act in each district. Following this amendment, the District Child Protection Unit will operate under the District Magistrate (DMs).
The DMs will also objectively assess the Child Protection Committee and the Specialist Youth Policing Force.
