Ramanujan Machine
A team of researchers at the Israel Institute of Technology has built what they describe as a Ramanujan machine—a device that automatically generates conjectures (mathematical statements that are proposed as true statements) for fundamental constants.
The Ramanujan machine consists of algorithms that reach mathematical conclusions. These statistical assumptions are likely to be accurate, although they have not been confirmed.
The set of algorithms has been named after the Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
