India’s First ‘Amputee Clinic'

• The PGIMER, Chandigarh has launched its ‘PGI Amputee Clinic’ which is also the first such clinic in India. 

Key Highlights: 

• The opening of the clinic is a joint initiative by the numerous professionals and divisions of the institute to offer social, emotional and physical assistance to patients. 

• The clinic was set up to improve amputation patient treatment by delivering a host of facilities under one roof and with significant teamwork. 

• Under this initiative, the amputee will be sent as a near normal functional human being to society.
