Malala Yousafzai Scholarship Act
The United States recently passed the Malala Yousafzai Act for Pakistani Women.
The Act mandates the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to award at least 50 per cent of its scholarship to Pakistani women between 2020 and 2022.
The act makes it mandatory for the USAID to brief the US Congress about the number of scholarships provided under the programme.
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education. She is also the Youngest Nobel Prize Laureate. She fought against the Taliban for women education.
