SEHAT Scheme

The Prime Minister of India launched the SEHAT Scheme for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. SEHAT is Social Endeavour for Health and Telemedicine.

Key Features:

• The scheme would provide free cashless care for the inhabitants of Jammu and Kashmir up to Rs 5 lakhs of health coverage.

• A card must be given to the recipients of the programme.

• The Common Service Centers shall be used efficiently in the execution of the system.

• The scheme will cover all cases of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the Indoor Patient Department.
