Golden Peacock Environment Management Award 

• The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) was awarded the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award for the year 2020 in the steel industry.

• The award was granted for its efforts to implement numerous environmental initiatives, such as improvements to pollution control systems, disposal and recirculation of wastewater, improvement of green cover, etc. 

• SAIL has been awarded the prize for two straight years.

• The Golden Peacock Environment Management Award is a prestigious award created by the World Environment Foundation in 1998.
