Arecibo Telescope
● Designed in 1963, the Arecibo Telescope in Puerto Rico was built in 1963. It is the second-largest single-dish radio telescope in the world. It's been in the headlines lately because of its failure.
● It is owned by the National Science Foundation of the United States. It is understood that Mercury rotates in 59 days, not 88 days (original calculation).
