Eligibility Criteria
As per the latest notification released by the commission, the following are the eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Engineer.
Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification: Must have a degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an institution or university recognised by the Government, or, Be a qualified Associate Member of the Institution of Engineer (India) Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Branch, as the case may be.
Desirable A candidate who has.
- served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
- obtained a “B” Certificate of N.C.C. or
- completed one year of training as a trainee
Note:- Candidates with a degree in other disciplines are also eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer in specific departments, as the case may be.
Age Limit
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40.
Age relaxation shall be permitted as per the rule of the Uttar Pradesh government.
