Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The candidate must have a degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised university/institution approved by the AICTE.

Age Limit

The age limit for the post of BPSC AE will be as follows: -

Age Limit: BPSC Assistant Engineer
Unreserved (Male) 37 years
Unreserved (Female) 40 years
OBC 40 years
SC, ST & PWD 42 years

Note: Age relaxation shall be allowed as per the rules of the Bihar Government.

Selection Process

The selection process includes a written test .The candidates who will qualify for the written exam will be selected for the post of Assistant Engineer. 

Exam Pattern

As per the latest information the exam pattern for the BPSC AE is as follows: 

Examination Mode: Offline 

Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. 

Language of the Exam: The Exam will be held in both Hindi and English.
