India’s first indigenously developed pollution control vessel- Samudra Pratap
Recently, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) launched its first indigenously built pollution control vessel- Samudra Pratap in Goa.
Key Highlights
- It was built by the Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).
- It will help to check oil spillage in the sea coast of the country.
- It can recover oil at a rate of 300 tonnes/hour.
- Storage Capacity: 300 tonnes or 1000 tonnes in inflatable barges.
