Companies (Auditor’s Report) Order, 2020
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has announced the notification of Companies (Auditor’s Report) Order, 2020 (CARO).
Key Features:
• Disclosure of knowledge of the litigation against the Benami holding firm.
• The auditor should provide information on the expenditure made by the firm.
• Fraud perpetrated by the company or by the company should be reported.
• Cash losses for the current year and the previous financial year should be published.
• The summary should include details of the loan repayment term and the amount to be repaid.
